Antimatter is a spatial design studio founded by Gabriel Tan in 2016.
Why Antimatter? In modern physics, antimatter is a sub-atomic particle that is considered the opposite of normal matter, and one that takes a tremendous amount of energy to produce. The same can be said of holistic, memorable interior spaces that are both beautiful and functional.
Combining the disciplines of interior design with furniture and lighting design — materiality, warmth and clarity are some of the qualities we strive for in our projects. For us, furniture, light, objects and spaces are inherently connected and are simultaneously considered during the design process. This results in spatial experiences that are sensorial and emotional.
Based in both Singapore and Portugal, Antimatter works worldwide. The studio accepts only up to four interior projects a year, in order to dedicate the required attention and time to each space.
